The premiums have increased by over 11 percent since 2004, and the yearly increase is projected to reach 18 percent within the next 10 years. From 2004 to 2005 workers have spent over $13 billion on health care.
Today the most affordable type of health care insurance available is subsidized by the government. Medicare and Medicaid are two examples of health care plans that are offered by the government. To qualify for these two plans, you must be over the age of 65, or below this age but have disabilities. The cost of these medical plans is far less expensive than those from private insurance companies.
