We probably all know people in our lives that seem to always pull everyone around them down. They come along and they change the mood and tend to depress or annoy people. It could be what they say or how they say it or just their energy yet it has this negative effect.

This article is about how you can better protect yourself in the situations where you cannot or will not cut ties with these negative people.
It could be that you feel you are forced to be around these energy vampires that seem to suck your blood and energy and happiness dry. Well now you will be able to feel a sense of protection and retain your happiness and good spirits. These people will most likely sense that they can no longer get what they were trying to get from you and will probably move on to someone else and leave you in peace.
Start by finding a comfortable place to sit and relax. Breath and relax your mind and relax your body as you imagine something that makes you feel really happy and good. Thoughts and feelings can strengthen us and in private sessions I demonstrate these things so that you can really see this and so your belief in these techniques becomes even more powerful.
You can relax and hold on to these good feelings, images, thoughts, and suggestions inside your mind as you stand up and walk around. Hold onto this state of mind and you may feel yourself smiling a real smile that starts from inside and radiates outward.

So practice this technique of bringing up good feelings, memories, emotions, thoughts and suggestions and then imagine that you are wearing a comfortable sweater with a zipper.
Imagine zipping up all those great and powerful feelings, images and ideas as you inhale and that as you zip them up they are safely and securely locked inside of you. Zip from below your navel to your lips.
No matter what negative words someone says or negative attitudes you encounter you will feel that your good mood is protected inside of this zipper and you will maintain this happiness as a habit.
So the steps are :
1. Relax and imagine good memories, times, feelings, and suggestions.
2. Anchor this happy state and breath in while zipping up those great feelings inside of you so they will remain safe against those that would try to sabotage your happiness.
3. Practice this standing, sitting, moving, laying down and in various situations—-quiet, loud, busy, relaxed so that the first signs of someone being negative or hurtful will trigger this
more powerful state of happiness that is protecting you.
